Knanaya Catholic Youth League (KCYL) is the first and the official youth Organisation of Arch-Eparchy of Kottayam. It is formally inaugurated in the diocese on 1969 by the late Bishop Mar Thomas Tharayil.
In the year 1962 KCYL (Knanaya Catholic Youth League) was formed with the intention of giving a voice to the Knanaya youth. The very basis of KCYL stems from the traditional values of the Knanaya community keeping in line with the Catholic principles and giving it a Youth League format.
